It is illegal to drive a car in Saudi Arabia with an expired driving license. The Saudi government has increased the penalty for expired driving license. The vehicle registration is also called Istimara. The penalty for an expired driving license or Istimara used to be 100 Riyals. On Twitter, eMuroor has announced that driving a vehicle with an expired driving license is a traffic violation and a fine ticket value for an expired driving license could be between 300/500 SR.
