If your car’s number plate has been damaged or lost, you can replace it by following a few simple steps.

Required Documents to Replace Car Number Plate

You’ll need to submit a lost and damaged plate report to obtain a duplicate registration number. To complete the form correctly, make sure that you have these documents in hand:

1. A copy of your Iqamah.
2. A copy of the vehicle registration(Istimara).
3. A copy of your driving license.
4. A proof of your residential Saudi National address.
5. The Saudi police report for the lost number plate. (In the next paragraph, we have explained how to obtain this police report)
6. A filled نموزج طلب لوحات form.
7. Bring your original damaged number plate in case of wanting a replacement of the damaged number plate.
8. The fee for replacing a car number plate varies depending on whether or not it has a logo. A plate without a logo costs SR 100, while a plate with a logo costs SR 800.

Report Your Lost Or Damaged Number Plate

You don’t need to go to the police station to report your lost or damaged number plate anymore. Now, you can easily do it online using your Absher account.

To report a lost or stolen car number plate in Saudi Arabia, follow these steps on Absher:

1. Go to the Absher website: https://www.absher.sa/
2. Click on “E-Services.”
3. Then click on “Vehicles Services.”
4. Next, click on “Vehicle Management.”
5. Find the car that belongs to you.
6. Click on “Reporting Vehicle Plates Stealing or Loss.”

A new page will open, and you need to do the following:

1. Click on “New Request.”
2. Choose either “Lost” or “Stolen.”
3. Fill in all the needed details.
4. Submit the form.

Paying the Fee to Replace Your Car’s Number Plate

To pay the fee for replacing the car number plate in Saudi Arabia, you can use Sabb Bank, but you’ll pay with your personal account. The procedure is almost the same.

1. You can pay the fee with Sabb Bank. You can use the bank’s mobile app or go to the bank’s website.
2. Sign in to your online banking account.
3. Find the “SAAD Payments” button at the bottom of the screen and click on it.
4. Then click on the “Government Payments & Refunds” button.
5. Choose “Re-Issue License Plate.” If you need one plate, pick “one.” If you need a pair, pick the “pair” option.
6. Put in the details and pay the fee.

Replace Car Number Plate via Absher

Before, to replace the number plate, we had to go to the Muroor office. Now, you can do it online. You can ask for a new number plate through Absher and have it sent to your home.

• You don’t have an old request for the same vehicle.
• There’s no report saying the plates are lost or stolen.

5. Fill in the information.
