- Any other documents.
- Create an Absher account and keep it up to date.
- Book an appointment through Absher to speed up things.
- They don’t need any folders or anything, only the paperwork.
Step 1: Submit Your Application
- Go to school early in the morning or before 4:00 PM.
- Once your file is submitted, you will be given two receipts. Keep the white receipt with you always, and put the yellow one in a separate folder. You will need it for the final test.
- The number of hours you need to attend school depends on your initial assessment. It can be a minimum of 30 hours (3 hours per day) and a maximum of 90 hours.
- The entire process can be completed in two weeks.
You need 5 computer class stamps and 10 parking stamps on your white receipt to complete the driving school course. Do not lose this receipt, as you will need it to pass the final driving test.
Step 2: Initial Assessment
You will be asked to attend the training school at 7:30 AM the next day. You can also start on the same day if it is not too late. This is a first test to verify if you are familiar with the car and know how it operates. Note that the school only has automatic transmission vehicles.
Driving Tips
- Don’t be scared or nervous. Take a deep breath and relax.
- Use one hand on the steering wheel during turning. Don’t use your fingers in the lower part.
- Use the same foot for accelerating and braking. Don’t use two feet, or you will fail.
- Don’t touch the accelerator unless you are told to do so.
- Keep the distance between your car and the footpath at approximately 30-40 cm.
- When reversing in a straight line, keep an eye on the side mirror and avoid making corrections with the steering wheel unless the car is too near or too far away from the footpath.
If you do well, you will be allowed to take the parking trials. After the trial is done, take the first computer class in your chosen language.
Step 3: Parking Trials
Before you start your parking trials. Please watch this video and follow the mentioned steps very carefully.
You will be asked to parallel park the car without making any mistake at least 2-3 times (once per day). If you do well, your instructor will transfer you to Group A. If you pass the trial, you will get 2 parking stamps.
Step 4: Transfer to Group A
Once you are moved to Group A, you will be expected to park the car correctly in the outlined box every day for 4-5 days. You will earn two stamps for every perfect parking space. You need to attend this test at least 4-5 times, but if you make a mistake, you will not earn any stamps for that day.
Step 5: Simulator Test
The simulator test is a simulation of the road conditions in Saudi Arabia. It is a very easy test, but you need to follow the instructions from the teacher carefully. Don’t be nervous and just follow the rules.
Once you have passed the simulator test, you need to go to the manager to get a date for your final exam. You will need to bring your yellow receipt with you, as the manager will not give you a date without it.
Step 6: Final Assessment
You will need to arrive at the time specified by the manager on your yellow receipt. The final driving test usually takes place at 5:30 AM.
The police officer will ask you to drive the car in the same manner as you did in front of the driving school instructor. Make sure to use your signs, handbrake, and hazard lights. If you perform well, the officer will give you a small document that will advise you to take a computer test.
Step 7: Computer Test
You have to pass this online test to get your license. There are 20 questions for each question with a time limit of 30 seconds. On the first day, a pamphlet with the most answers is given to you. Download our official app to practice all the exam questions.
The policeman will give you a short report that will tell you that you have passed the exam. Now, pay for the license online using the mobile app or through your bank account. When this is over, you are asked to pick up your license after 1 p.m. Remember to bring your Iqama.
