Driving with an expired license can lead to serious consequences, including hefty fines and legal issues. In fact, there is a penalty ranging from SR 300-500 for driving with an expired license in Saudi Arabia.

Today, we will guide you through various methods to perform a “driving license expiry check” in Saudi Arabia, ensuring you stay on the right side of the law.

There are four different ways to check the expiry of a Saudi driving license.

Checking the Physical Saudi Driving License Card

The most straightforward method to check the expiry date of your Saudi driving license is to look at the physical card itself. The card, issued by the Saudi traffic police, contains all the necessary information about your license, including the expiry date.

Checking the Physical Saudi Driving License Card

The expiry date is printed in the Gregorian format, so you don’t need to convert it from the Hijri calendar. To check the expiry date of your driving license, simply locate the expiration date on the card and make sure that it is still valid. If your license is about to expire or has already expired, you will need to renew it to continue driving legally in Saudi Arabia.

Checking the Expiry Date by Public Query Driving License

In the digital age, checking the validity of your driving license has become easier than ever. Even without an Absher account, you can still verify the expiry date of your Saudi driving license online. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

  1. Open the “Public Query Driving License” page on the official Saudi government website.
  2. Enter your Iqama number in the designated field.
  3. Select the Gregorian calendar type from the options.
  4. Input your date of birth as written on your Iqama.
  5. Enter the image code displayed on the screen for verification.
  6. Click on the “+” sign to proceed.
  7. The system will then display your Saudi driving license information, including the expiry date and other details.

This online method provides a quick and convenient way to perform a “driving license expiry check” without the need for an Absher account. However, if you have an Absher account, there are additional methods available to you, which we will discuss next.

Checking the Expiry Date via Absher Account Online

Absher is a comprehensive e-services platform provided by the Saudi government, offering a wide range of services, including the ability to check the validity of your driving license. If you have an Absher account, you can easily check the expiry date of your Saudi driving license online. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your Absher account by visiting https://www.absher.sa/.
  2. Once logged in, click on the “Inquiries” option under the “My Services” tab.
  3. From the list of options, select the “Traffic” category.
  4. Click on the “Driving License Information” button.
  5. The next page will display the expiry date of your driving license in Saudi Arabia.

By using your Absher account, you can conveniently check the validity of your driving license from the comfort of your home.

Checking the Driving License through the Tawakkalna App

The Tawakkalna application is another digital tool that allows you to check the validity and issue date of your Saudi driving license. This application, developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), provides various e-services, including the ability to perform a “driving license expiry check”. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Download the Tawakkalna Services application from the Google Play store or Apple iTunes.
  2. Log in to the app using your Absher ID and password.
  3. Click on the “Digital Document” option in the app.
  4. Then, click on “Family Members”.

What to Do If Your License Is Expired

Despite our best efforts, there may be times when we overlook the expiry date of our driving license. If you find that your license has already expired, don’t panic. The process to renew your Saudi driving license is straightforward and can be done quickly.

  1. Visit the nearest traffic police office or use the online services provided by the Saudi government.
  2. Submit the necessary documents, including your expired driving license, Iqama, and any other required documents.
  3. Pay the renewal fee through the designated channels.
  4. Once your application is processed and approved, you will receive your new driving license.

Remember, driving with an expired license is illegal and can result in hefty fines. Therefore, it’s crucial to renew your license as soon as you realize it has expired.

Saudi Traffic Fines List, Violations and Penalties 2023 https://saudi-driving-license.com/saudi-traffic-fines-violations/ https://saudi-driving-license.com/saudi-traffic-fines-violations/#comments Mon, 30 Mar 2020 12:35:34 +0000 https://saudi-driving-license.com/?p=475 In this article, you will find the Saudi traffic fines list. Saudi traffic fines, violations and penalties are harsh. Abiding by traffic regulations and instructions is a major prerequisite to avoid being involved in actions that might lead to the suspension of driving license and disqualify the driver from driving.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has different types of driving licenses that come with different privileges and restrictions. Depending on the type of license, you may have to pay fines or face other types of penalties if you don’t comply with the rules associated with that particular license type.

Committing a traffic violation is not the upshot, nor does it mean you are a dangerous driver. The law stipulates that “If one year elapses after a driver committed a traffic violation and did not commit another violation, the driver’s black points pertaining to that violation will be omitted automatically from the system, consequently his record will be clean of any violations.
